First off, tell us a bit about what you are up to now? You were recently appointed as one of Audi’s ambassadors, what exactly is it that a brand ambassador does?

We’ll I’m a Top billing presenter and have now been made one of the judges for the Top Billing presenter search, reality show. I’ve also been working on a mobile app at the moment which is scheduled to be launched at the end of the year.  I’m also busy working on a few other projects and TV, as I produce a lot of my own shows for international content.

As for Representing the Audi brand… I find that it’s an interesting combination if you look at the car I drive, the A5, it looks like me! It’s an awesome relationship I have with the brand and I care for the brand as I feel it’s a good reflection of my personality too.  If I weren’t endorsing this car I would have definitely still been driving one. It’s about honoring the association and you have you have to love the brand.

You have had a really exciting career so far, from Good Hope FM to Top Billing to Top Travel; what have these experiences taught you about yourself and which venture has been the most enjoyable experience for you?

Both Top Billing and Top Travel! I was involved with Top Travel from the concept stage to idea, to everything behind the scenes, to what you saw on the television. And the exciting thing is the show is also syndicated worldwide. I love work behind the camera and the sense of achievement to see my work flourish and come to life, and to have other people enjoy the show too.

You really are an inspiration to young South Africans in terms of being an entrepreneur and making your own dreams come true. What advice do you have for young people out there about becoming an entrepreneur and making something of yourself?

I think it’s my fear of failure that drives me to work so hard.
Kids have it more difficult today – everything moves so fast in the world. I believe that it comes down to being focused on doing something you love, making a success out of it and believing in yourself.  I would say this to the South African youth; find something that you’re good at and be realistic. These are the years; focus on building that success in your life and then party along later.

I’m sure that many people have the misconception that being a TV presenter is easy work; all you have to do is rehearse your part and speak into a camera right? But I’m sure that there is a lot more that goes into it, tell us a bit about what it is really like representing a show like Top Billing and Top Travel?

From the Top Billing presenter search people can see it’s not all that easy. It’s like playing the drums, you have to go with it and do it in a way that people find it exciting and entertaining so that they’ll watch you week after week.

Here at Urban Youth Brands we are all about discovering and uncovering the ins and outs of brands. Many people don’t realize the importance of self-branding. What does this mean to you and what would you say your brand is? How do you want people to perceive you at the end of the day?

I started my career young – I was my own business – expanding on my name, who I am, and what I wanted to represent. So I registered my company for the future! The more my following grew, the company grew, along with endorsements that encompass my brand – sexy, glamorous and business.
I’m a business woman and I’m thankful I was able to do this!

Well thank you for your time Jeannie, lastly can you tell us what we can expect to see from you in the future and where can your fans keep in touch with you?

I love my fans! I appreciate it and love it when they see me about and come to say hi. It keeps me working harder. I’ll continue with TV- it’s my first love. I’ve been working on a lingerie collection, a mobile app for fitness/ style.

I love what I do!  When you have that right everything else comes naturally.
